Who We Are
Two Guys From The Patch.
Run The Patch didn't start in a boardroom. It started with two guys who've spent years working in the oilfield, living the rotations, the pressure, the time away, and the things men in this industry don't always know how to talk about.

15 Years In Oil & Gas
Mental Health
Addiction
Recovery
Kurtis is 33 and has spent the last 15 years working in the oil and gas industry. He's lived the long days, the time away from family, the pressure and stress — and has experienced firsthand what that life can do to your mental health. He's also open about his own battles with addiction and the times in his life when he wasn't dealing with things the way he should have been.
Why He's Doing This
To make it easier for men in the patch to talk about what's going on in their heads before they have to carry it alone.
“In the oilfield, we're pretty good at working through our pain. We show up, do our jobs and provide for our families. But when it comes to what's going on in our heads, a lot of us don't talk about it.”

12 Years In The Oilfield
Husband & Father
Ironman
Endurance Athlete
Tyler is 30, a husband and father, and has worked in the oilfield for the past 12 years. The industry has given him opportunities to support his family and build a life he's proud of — but he's also lived the cost that can come with it: long days, long hours, months away from home, and missing important moments with family. Tyler has also experienced his own periods of struggling mentally and coping in ways that weren't healthy, while doing what many men learn to do: putting on a mask, going to work and making it look like everything was okay.
What Changed
Endurance sport became an outlet — a way to push himself, find purpose and work on his mental health. Now he's using that same drive for something bigger than himself.
“I learned that asking for help isn't weakness, it's strength. It's okay to be vulnerable. It's okay to cry. It's okay not to be okay. And most importantly, it's okay to ask for help.”
